Streaks of Blue (Nikki Janicek Series, Book 1)

Adam Upton and Thomas “Lee” Harvey are plotting the next big school massacre at their New Hampshire high school. Nicole Janicek, who knew Adam in elementary school, tries to reconnect with the damaged teen at the start of their senior year. But will Nicole’s attempt to befriend the would-be killer disrupt the plot and turn Adam’s life around before the clock strikes 12:14?

Warning: Spoiler Alert

This book was okay. It didn’t really catch my attention in the beginning. It was confusing and I felt like I was going from realistic fiction to fantasy. After the weird dream, the story began to pick up.

Character development was again average. The only character I really saw development was from Adam. He went from wanting to harm people to realizing that life is complicated, and can be meaningful. The other characters didn’t really change or grow much.

The story line and plot were great. The only problem was it sometimes was hard to where the story was going. I felt that this book would have been better as a multiple POVs book.
