31 Days, 31 Women


On the 8th of March, we celebrate International Women’s Day. March is also International Women’s Month. To celebrate this, I have made a list of 31 amazing female authors for the 31 days of March. Each day is for an incredible author.


1)   S.E. Hinton:

S. E. Hinton is the author of The Outsiders, Tex, Rumble Fish and many more.


2)   Lois Lowry:

Lois Lowry is the author of The Giver Quartet (The Giver, Gathering Blue, Messenger and Son), Number the Stars and many more.


3)   Valerie Bloom:

Valerie Bloom is the author of The Tribe, Surprising Joy and Fruits: A Caribbean Counting Poem. She also has had her poetry published in over two hundred adults’ and children’s anthologies.


4)    Marissa Meyer:

Marissa Meyer is the author of The Lunar Chronicles (Cinder, Scarlet, Cress and Winter), The Renegades Trilogy (Renegades, Archenemies and ), Heartless and many more.


5)   Holly Smale:

Holly Smale is the author of The Geek Girl Series (Geek Girl, Model Misfit, Picture Perfect, All that Glitters, Head over Heels and Forever Geek).


6)   Zizou Corder:

Zizou Corder is the pen name for Louisa Young and her daughter Isabel Adomakhoh Young. They are the authors of The Lionboy Trilogy (Lionboy), Lee Raven, Halo and Boy Thief.


7)   Alexandra Bracken:

There are many other amazing women authors. I could only choose 31 authors, but that doesn’t mean cannot comment on your favorite female authors below.
