Well, you knew not worry. This guide is to help new readers on what order you should read her books. This guide may differ from others, but it is based on personal experience.
1: The Mortal Instruments Series
I would highly suggest reading this series first. This series is Cassandra Clare’s main series. Also, reading the other books will just spoil the plot for these books. There are many things that happen in this series that are needed in other series.
The series begins with City of Bones. It is followed by City of Ashes, City of Glass, City of Fallen Angels, City of Lost Souls and City of Heavenly Fire.

2: The Infernal Devices Series
This series may not be about the main characters in the Mortal Instruments series, but it has an equally important part in the Shadowhunters world. This series explains the history of some characters in other books. You can however begin with this series and then read the Mortal Instruments. That is fine.
As long as the Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices are both read before the other books. That is the important part.
This series begins with Clockwork Angel. It is then followed by Clockwork Prince and Clockwork Princess.
3: Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy
This book is a collection of short stories written about the Shadowhunter Academy. The short stories are based on the aftermath of the Mortal Instruments. Parts of the book from the aftermath of the Infernal Devices. So, once you’re read the Mortal Instruments and the Infernal Devices, this is the book to read. It is not necessary to read it, however it will help when reading the other series.

You can read this before the Bane Chronicles. However, I do suggest you read the Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy.
The series starts with Lady Midnight. It s followed by Lord of Shadows and Queen of Air and Darkness.
6: Ghosts of the Shadow Market
I would read this book only after reading the Mortal Instruments, Infernal Devices, Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy and the Dark Artifices Series.
This book is also written by Sarah Rees Brennan,

This book is also written by Wesley Chu.
The series starts with The Red Scrolls of Magic. It is followed by the Lost Book of the White.
8: The Last Hours
This series begins with the book, Chain of Gold. It is to be followed by Chain of Iron.
